European Empires Webquest Words

1. Mycenaean- and indo-european person who settled on the greek mainland around 2000 b.c.
2. Trojan War- war fought in 1200 b.c. in which an army led by Mycenaean kings.

5. Helot- in ancient Sparta, a peasant bound to land.
6. Phalanx- a military formation of foot soilders armed with spears.
7. Persian War- 1991 conflict in which un forces that had invaded Kuwait and threaten to invade Saudi Arabia
8. Peloponnesian War- lasting from 431 to 404 b.c. with the Athens and Sparta.

19. Triumvirate- in rome it’s a group of three leaders sharing power.

26. Hagia Sophia- the cathedral of holy wisdom in constantinopole
27. Gengis Khan- was the ruler of Mongolian empire
28. Kublai Khan- founder of the yuan dynasty

  1. All Post show some undertanding of topic. Answers to questions are correct but not in depth 12/20
    Note Review Sheets are completed, but lack in depth descriptive answers 16/20
    The ID and Define Webquest is over half way done, but many terms are still missing. Terms not in correct format and do not show a depth of knowledge 8/20
    Assignments other than Note Reviews and Webquest are only partially posted, and show very little evidence of learning 4/20
